THIS POSITION IS FOR UPPERCLASSMEN ONLY. FRESHMEN ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR DEPARTMENT POSITIONS. This is a full academic year position.
Expected hours of work per week : 8-10, negotiable upfront
Work Location & Hours : The Kirk Office; Mon- Fri; 8am-4 : 30pm
Qualifications for Position :
- Knowledge of Banner / CBI and Slate (preferred)
- Knowledge of Google Apps and Extensions
- Phone etiquette
- Organizational skills
- Professional office attire is required (no blue jeans)
- Writing skills
- Knowledge of Canvas
- Comfortable interacting with alumni of all ages
- Able to work on a team and receive instruction
- Strong ability to take initiative and work independently
- Must be a current Covenant College student

Developing proficient knowledge of Covenant College internal systems (particularly Covenant Banner Interface and Slate)Manage day-to-day communication with alumni (alumni@covenant.edu inbox, alumni updates, alumni phone line, handwritten thank you notes, etc.)Record all communication with alumni in SlateAssist in creating a monthly eNewsletterMaintain and update database systems (CBI or Slate)Pull lists from CBI or Slate as neededCollaborate with the Marketing / Communications Office on alumni updates for The View magazineMaintain alumni office storage inventory listAssist in alumni surveysExtend hospitality to our constituents in a warm and welcoming mannerOffice Operations :
Answer phone calls and emailsAssist the Constituent Relations Coordinator in managing the Alumni Office's Serve CrewRun errands as neededMaintain TV slideshow for the Kirk TVOther duties as assignedEvents :
Assist the Assistant Director of Constituent & Alumni Relations in managing and planning regional eventsAssist with and facilitate event planning (manage RSVP lists and confirmations, collaborate on social media communication for events, invitations, filling out the post-event form with voice memos, name tags, etc.)HomecomingAssist with and facilitate Homecoming planning
Staff Homecoming eventsCovenant in Your City Regional Events :Assist in creating biographies
Assist with communicationsCreate name tagsManage Serve staff and train them to make callsOther duties as assignedResume skills development (NACE Competencies required by employers) to be developed
