Position Summary
Strategos International seeks a dynamic and versatile HR Generalist & Recruiter to manage day-to-day human resources functions while leading talent acquisition efforts to build and retain a high-performing team. This role is ideal for a professional with a proven track record in recruitment and a solid foundation in HR generalist duties. Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition (50%)
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including job postings, networking, and leveraging recruitment platforms.
- Partner with department managers to identify hiring needs and create job descriptions.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future positions.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to improve hiring processes and outcomes.
- Conduct background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications as needed.
- Occasional focus on high-volume recruiting of security professionals for security projects, including those specializing in event security and physical protection services.
- In addition to general internal perm talent acquisition, sourcing and hiring candidates from civil service backgrounds, including current and former police officers, law enforcement professionals, ex-military personnel, and government security officials for temporary contracts.
HR Generalist Duties (50%)
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, performance reviews, and offboarding.
- Administer HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues and guide conflict resolution.
- Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and employee leave programs.
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage HRIS systems.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace culture.
- Train managers and employees on HR-related topics, including compliance and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3 years of experience in HR generalist and/or recruitment roles.
- Proven track record of successfully filling positions across various levels.
- Nice to Have - Experience recruiting within the security industry, including sourcing candidates with law enforcement, military, or government security backgrounds, preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to recruit and assess security professionals for suitability in physical protection of people, property and information.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
- Experience in security or service-related industry preferred.
- Familiarity with employer branding and social media recruiting strategies.
