Quality assurance tester

Title : Quality Assurance Tester (Manual)

Location : Onsite at 11500 Ash St., Leawood, KS 66211

Terms : 6 Month Contract with Options to Extend (01 / 01 / 25 to 06 / 01 / 25)

Rates : 40-50 / Hr. Depending on Experience Level and W2 or 1099

This role requires the consultant to be onsite as you will be working hands on with testing equipment and point of sale devices.

This is a 6-month contract role to start, with a high possibility of extending

• Need someone with at least 3-5 years of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Testing experience, with a combination of manual testing, writing manual test scripts, and writing test plans.
• This QA engineer will be testing both hardware and software on point of sale devices. Testing equipment involves a physical component and light lifting, possibly 20-30 lbs, on occasion.
• Nice to have would be lab maintenance (i.e., able to image, able to connect peripherals, etc.)
• Ability to follow existing manual test scripts but also the ability to write scripts for new functionality.
• Good communication, self-starter, work with team and get along with others.
• SQL helpful but not a must have
• Network knowledge helpful, but not a must have

Responsibilities :

Read, Write, Test, Verify & Document

Read through product documentation, acceptance criteria, user stories and reported defects, this information is vital for writing test plans, which contain the test cases for these areas that will be tested.

Write or update test cases for the plans. that will be used in testing. These test cases will be archived for regression testing.

Test cases should be written and comprehensive that any QA team member can run through these test plans

Manually Test sales and refunds across AMC ticketing and concessions POS point of sale and kiosk systems. Testing includes the use of loyalty program benefits / rewards, cash equivalent discounts (CE’s) and credit / gift cards.

QA Tester will be monitoring Point of Sale POS) terminals, kiosks, printers, scanners, and credit card pads (PED Pin Entry Device)

Regression testing is a case-by-case basis and typically involves a less aggressive set of test cases. This is to validate that no software functionality has been broken with the latest release.

Other regression tests validate the monthly installed chrome and java patches have not interfered with any of the credit / gift card and loyalty functionality.

Verify test case results are within the boundaries from the criteria of the project.

Documentation during testing anomalies and or bugs is important. Documentation includes but is not limited to : a clear description of the problem, steps to reproduce, logs, screenshots, receipts and accounting reports.
