Are you driven by a desire to help others overcome substance use disorders? Radix Recovery is seeking a dedicated SUD Counselor to join our compassionate, multidisciplinary team. This role is vital to our mission, supporting clients in achieving lasting recovery through individual and group counseling, community referrals, and treatment planning.
About the Role: As an SUD Counselor, you’ll provide direct assessment, intervention, and counseling to clients and their families. You’ll collaborate with facility staff and medical personnel, lead group sessions, and document client progress to ensure that each client’s treatment journey is effectively supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions, promote recovery, and provide supportive intervention.
- Collaborate with team members to assess and adjust treatment plans.
- Coordinate with community resources to support clients’ recovery journeys.
- Document client interactions and progress in medical records.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, training, and team-building activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an Associate’s degree with 3 years of experience. Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC, IADC, or IAADC) is required.
- Skills & Knowledge: Understanding of addictions, withdrawal stages, and community resources; proficiency in case management; strong problem-solving and de-escalation skills.
- Personal Qualities: Team-oriented, flexible, ethical, and committed to maintaining client privacy.
