Position Summary:
This position will undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. This position will install and maintain electrical wiring in existing Covenant owned buildings. Due to the high level of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. This position will have advanced knowledge in commercial construction and different kinds of electrical systems. This position internally produces and maintains the electrical needs throughout the Covenant facilities.

Responsibilities
- Executes plans of electrical wiring for well functional lighting and other electrical systems.
- Installs electrical fixtures and devices as needed.
- Installs safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
- Connects wiring in electrical circuits and networks and ensures compatibility of components.
- Prepares and assembles conduits and connects wiring through them.
- Performs effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repairs or substitutes damaged units.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of Health Care Design and Construction Guidelines.
- Works with vendors to ensure proper materials and supplies are on site for each job.
- Maintains a professional relationship with all customers and staff.
- Demonstrates a strong level of skill in general carpentry and light weight construction.
- Travel is required.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in commercial electrical systems required.
Licensure Requirement:
Must have a current Limited License Electrician (LLE Journeyman) or Master Electrician License in the state of Tennessee. Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license Class D and state mandated minimum insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
