SUMMARY
The CHNO Data Manager is responsible for guiding the maintenance of strong data entry integrity across agency-wide programmatic functions. Their responsibilities include serving as the lead on all data sets that support and confirm the organizational achievement of goals and objectives, ensuring that all databases are up-to-date and accurate, and assisting in reporting requirements through generating reports and monitoring data quality.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Initiate and maintain positive and professional relationships with youth and staff in accordance with the Covenant House Mission, Principles, and Core Values
Promote a peaceful, healing environment by utilizing the principles and practices of trauma-informed care and positive youth development in all aspects of work and youth engagement, including crisis prevention, intervention, and de-escalation
Ensure that Covenant House New Orleans is a welcoming, safe, and secure homelike environment for youth and young adults receiving services
Perform data entry into CHNO data management systems as required by CHI and grantor entities including but not limited to Efforts-to-Outcomes (ETO) and Homelessness Management Information System (HMIS) case management platforms for data related to general resident profile information, health, outreach, appeals, and/or education/vocation updates
Support CHNO staff in the daily use of data systems including but not limited to ETO and HMIS and ensure adherence to legal and company standards
Provide data for and assist with the preparation of grant reports and applications as needed
Regularly generate and monitor reports for the identification of data trends that will inform data driven program evaluation and assessment towards progress to goals
Routinely monitor data entry real-time accuracy to ensure agency-wide data integrity is always maintained for all CHNO shelter, residential, and supportive services data
Serve as ETO, VIA Link, and HMIS data liaison between CHNO and programmatic partners, including but not limited to CHI, City of New Orleans, and private funders
Maintain timely updates to the organizational-wide CHNO daily census for all programs
Prepare materials for and facilitate staff trainings on ETO and provide routine technical support to staff as scheduled and upon request
Provide regular feedback to CHI related to enhancing ETO database design
Maintain an organized, easily accessible filing system
Maintain up-to-date databases
Perform any other administrative, job-related duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree preferred, OR a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience working in data management systems.
High attention to detail and extremely thorough.
Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word) and experience with ETO and HMIS or another case management platform, preferred.
Trustworthy and capable of maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to HIPAA protection data.
Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving, solutions-based orientation
Maintains healthy boundaries and capable of working in a fast-paced, highly flexible environment required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment. Must have the ability to navigate stairs and assist with deliveries as needed with lifting of parcels, packages and other items.

Indoors at least 85% of the time; typical climate-controlled office conditions.
