Must-Have Skills
Strong knowledge of AV technology
2-3 years of estimator experience in the AV space. Prior experience reviewing RFPs and developing bids.
Skilled in negotiations. Prior experience working with manufacturers and vendors to negotiate prices.
Industry experience in the corporate conference room space. Prior focus on areas like conference rooms, team meeting rooms, TV installations, control panels, and digital signage.
Responsibilities
Interface with distributors and manufacturers to negotiate competitive pricing and strategic advantages with our supply chain.
Develop Labor & Material estimates (BOL / BOM) for each opportunity.
Attend site visits to gather important information relating to an opportunity.
Participate with management and sales team to develop a winning strategy on proposals and quotations.
Accurately generate take-offs and spreadsheets for estimates
Design and estimate small, medium, and large size installations.
Develop well-structured and descriptive scopes of work that best explains how the design completely fulfills the customer’s needs.
Plan and manage time and schedule effectively.
Attend Game Plan / Strategy Meeting for the assigned projects.
Provide Value Engineering options for every estimate.
Generate a price comparison spreadsheet and populate the estimates with the best price.
Set up and run peer checks, P&L reviews, and support capture meetings.
Conduct Labor & Material Estimate (BOL / BOM) Reviews with Business Unit Manager
Participate in post-award handoff meetings, coordinating with Sales, PMO, Procurement, Partners, and any other necessary resources.
Job Details
This is a hybrid in-the-field position. There will be travel to different customer sites and some in-office days.
