Coventry Cafe is looking for host to join our team at new restaurant opening! Located in the historic Old Colorado Inn, you will be working in an outdoor atmosphere assisting with flow and guest needs. Looking to open in the next two weeks, hours would be 3pm-9pm, with growing opportunities in the future as we anticipate doing a lunch and weekend brunch menu in the coming months also.
Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to manage guest relations and communicate effectively will be key to your success in this position.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage the seating chart and assign tables based on guest preferences and restaurant flow.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and reservations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.
- Utilize SkyTab POS system for managing reservations and waitlists efficiently.
- Provide assistance during busy periods to ensure timely seating and service.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Previous experience in restaurant or food service environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of hospitality best practices to enhance guest relations.
- Familiarity with SkyTab POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help create an enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
- Strong customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
