Description

Job Title: HR/Recruiting Intern
Location: Westfield, IN
Department: Human Resources

STATUS: Non-exempt $20 per hour
Reports to: HR Director

 

Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HR/Recruiting Intern to join our dynamic HR team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in human resources and recruitment processes. The HR/Recruiting Intern will assist with a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and maintaining HR records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, and networking.
  • Help review resumes and job applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain and update candidate databases and HR systems.
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with pre-employment paperwork.
  • Assist in onboarding processes for new hires, including preparing materials and conducting orientation sessions.
  • Support HR team with administrative tasks and documentation.
  • Help with employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Participate in HR-related projects and provide recommendations for process improvements

Qualifications


 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in HR and talent acquisition.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Previous HR or recruitment experience is a plus but not required.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
  • Proactive, self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
