POSITION PURPOSE
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the efficient shipping and receiving of materials. This position delivers and picks up materials, organizes shipments, verifies shipment accuracy, maintains an inventory of stock, reports shipment issues, and fills parts and emergency orders according to specifications.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions
- Stage, load, and unload materials.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments by examining contents and comparing them with manifests or packing lists.
- Responsible for combining from multiple departments to prepare final information for outbound.
- Notify the Manufacturing Manager of any problems, such as damages or shortages.
- Observe and follow all safety standards and processes.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
- Propose process improvements; implement methods that improve efficiency/effectiveness and reduce costs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable.
- Valid drivers license is required.
- Experience driving a forklift is preferred.
