The HR Co-op will provide project and administrative support to the HR department. Areas of exposure will include recruiting and onboarding, employee benefits, HR information systems, employment branding and communications. Day-to-day activities include recruitment consultations, interview scheduling and candidate debriefs across multiple departments, as well as working on bigger projects aligned with achieving our department goals. Past projects include the reimagining of the corporate onboarding process, creating visuals for companywide distribution, and developing the summer internship program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support annual department goals by participating on projects
- Support the recruiting team with interview scheduling, candidate communication, interview debriefs, and recruitment consultations.
- Support new employee onboarding program preparation, execution and tracking
- Research, plan, and launch new channels aimed at attracting top talent
- Assist with developing and managing content and social media marketing programs, including blogs and employment branding efforts
- Contribute to increasing employee engagement by assisting with employee recognition programs
- Assist with the preparation of internal and external communications for distribution through various outlets, including newsletters, announcements, email campaigns, and website
- Research engaging / creative ways to promote internship and co-op programs through LinkedIn, video testimonials, Workday etc.
- Assist with co-op / intern interviews and exit interviews
- Coordinate the co-op / internship programs including ongoing research of ways to improve program experience
- Operate as the point of contact for the internship program which can include creating and managing social events for co-ops and interns
- Ensure data integrity in HRIS (Workday)
- Organize and maintain HR records and employment files
- Assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned
- Perform miscellaneous HR Administrative support
