Description of the Requirement:
The client is currently overseeing approximately eight active projects and has recognized the need for additional leadership support to effectively manage their growing portfolio. With more projects in the pipeline, they are facing challenges in maintaining control and ensuring timely delivery. Specifically, they require expert assistance in implementing Agile methodologies and refining their Release Management processes to streamline workflows and enhance overall efficiency. In addition, they are seeking guidance on establishing well- defined processes, ensuring consistent practices across teams, and providing necessary training to empower their teams. This support is essential to drive successful project delivery, maintain alignment with organizational goals, and ensure sustainable, long-term growth.
Job Overview:
The Agile Leader will be responsible for guiding and supporting cross-functional teams in the implementation of Agile methodologies, ensuring continuous improvement in team performance, and delivering high-quality products on time. This individual will play a key role in fostering collaboration, enhancing Agile processes, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Process Facilitation: Lead and coach teams in Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and other relevant frameworks. Ensure teams understand and follow Agile principles and ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews).
- Collaboration & Communication: Act as the liaison between stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to ensure clear communication, manage expectations, and align objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with the team to implement best practices, improving team efficiency and product quality.
- Team Development: Mentor and guide team members in Agile practices, fostering a collaborative, self-organizing, and high-performing team culture.
- Metrics & Reporting: Track team performance through key Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down charts, etc.) and provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, risks, and improvements.
- Risk Management: Identify, communicate, and manage project risks and blockers, working with the team and leadership to develop mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with business stakeholders to ensure Agile teams understand business priorities, deliverables, and timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Agile Leader, Scrum Master, or similar role, with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a focus on empowering teams and fostering collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross- functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate through challenging situations.
- Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile
- Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in large-scale Agile transformations or with multiple Agile teams.
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools (Jira).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
