Job Summary
Work closely with the Accounting team to deliver timely, accurate financial statements and reports. Execute the necessary accounting work related to our weekly settlement process, month end close, and preparation of financial analysis reports. Proactively contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounting team to significantly reduce manual work/work arounds that may cause significant time constraints/inaccuracies or delays.

Job Summary
Work closely with the Accounting team to deliver timely, accurate financial statements and reports. Responsibilities
- Assist with coordination of the month end close for multiple entities, including preparation of recurring monthly close journal entries and accruals.
- Prepare various account reconciliations and workpapers.
- Assist in processing weekly commissions for Agent Division.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly fuel tax filing reports.
- Prepare, develop, and analyze weekly reports to identify trends and inaccuracies to support management.
- Assist with various aspects of the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Communicate with department and operating company leadership accordingly.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting/finance projects, including program implementation.
- Assist with any other month-end, quarter-end or year-end duties, analysis of various accounts, business communication, and other duties as assigned.

- B.S. in Accounting/Finance or B.A. in Management with a concentration in Accounting/Finance.
- 1-2 years of experience in Accounting.
- Demonstrated excellence working in an accounting or finance-related position.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to learn and utilize new tools/technologies on the fly.
- Experience with Accounting Software (Sage 500 preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple priorities.
- Desire and ability to gain an understanding of processes.
- Experience in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating own work schedule.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and collaborative skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Yearly starting salary: $72,000-$75,000 (Depending on knowledge & experience)
