Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Processor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the loan processing workflow from application to closing, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of loan processing and origination, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients.
Responsibilities
- Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected.
- Process loans in accordance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
- Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and escrow agents to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, and industry best practices.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills to efficiently input data into the loan processing system.
- Communicate effectively with Loan Officers to ensure smooth loan closings.
- Prepare loan files for closing, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in loan processing or related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of loan origination processes, and relevant regulations (Fair Housing, TILA).
- Familiarity with FNMA guidelines and escrow procedures is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
