Job Responsibilities TrueAn employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the followingessential duties: A. Plan, organize, and direct the daily activities of the water plant and/or wastewater plantpersonnel.B. Review, interpret, and make recommendations and adjustments based on waterquality data.C. Maintain and update facilities data records.D. Review and enforce policies; handle employee matters and personnel issues asneeded.E. Ensure that records are maintained for laboratory, maintenance, and plant logs andmaintains and updates all other facilities data records.F. Undertake preventative and predictive maintenance of the equipment of the waterplant, wastewater plant and related facilities.G. Analyze instrument readings, laboratory test results and operating records to assurethat all federal and state water and wastewater regulations are followed, and allprocesses are being maintained; transport samples to laboratory as needed.H. Ensure proper calibration of all testing, analytical and measuring equipment.I. Supervise the collection of representative samples from the plants and performschemical, physical, and bacteriological tests to assure water quality; submits samples fortesting as needed.J. Respond to and manage emergency situations.K. Ensure that raw and finished water samples are taken as required to monitor waterquality.L. Ensure that daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly samples are taken in thewater/wastewater systems to monitor compliance with State and Federal regulations.M. Primary Work Location: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works inoutside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high,precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the workenvironment is usually moderate.Employee may be exposed to Bloodborne Pathogens. Hepatitis B Vaccination is available.
