Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Manufacturing Specialist to join our team! As a Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing packaging projects and troubleshooting packing and shipping issues at both our CT and NH Plants.
About You:
- You have industrial packaging experience and are committed to being the subject matter expert for all Packaging Engineering tasks
- You have a strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- You are proficient in MS Office and have experience with 3D modeling software
- You have a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and have experience with machine shop operations
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Oversee packaging projects and troubleshoot packing and shipping issues
- Confer with Engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
- Select materials for packaging based on durability and cost effectiveness
- Create improvement plans based on input from the Manufacturing floor and data analysis
- Evaluate and adapt packaging to respond to field problems, sales feedback and customer concerns as required
