Preventative Maintenance Technician
Purpose
The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our equipment and machinery through preventative maintenance practices, as well as ensuring that materials are sorted, and distributed effectively to support production needs.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in Maintenance in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver’s License is required
Position Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Complete PM tickets in Maintain X software for tracking and scheduling maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections and parts used.
- Coordinate with production and supervisors to minimize downtime
- Monitor equipment performance to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Performs light cleaning and general upkeep of the facility
- Receive, inspect and store incoming materials and supplies
- Coordinate timely delivery of materials to the work centers
- Coordinate and deliver parts to customers or vendors as required
- Operate a forklift to dump chips, deliver coolant and oversee recycling program
- Performs other related duties, as required
