Job Summary
The primary function of the Birth Certificate Coordinator (B.C.C.) is to complete designated routine tasks relative to the operation of the Birth Certificate Office. Tasks include: gathering patient history to complete the infants birth certificate, typing the history taken to complete the birth certificate, maintaining the computerized electronic birth certificate system, gathering patient history to complete the infants fetal death report, contacting parents and physician as needed to complete the birth certificate, and other support duties as requested by the nurse manager.
