Job Summary

Coordinates the activities of volunteers to provide an atmosphere of excellent customer service with a high degree of professionalism; to promote the mission of the Auxiliary and the hospital; and to meet the goals of the organization. Oversees volunteer office at Cox Branson.The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and supporting volunteers (students and adults). This person is in charge of organizing events (volunteer appreciation and holiday events.) The Volunteer Coordinator is also responsible for assisting with auxiliary sales.

Required: 3-5 years related experience

Preferred: 2-4 years managerial/supervisory experience

Skills

Have public speaking skills to represent CoxHealth volunteers at community events and recruit new volunteers from the community; conduct training sessions and represent the volunteer services profession at professional meetings, on boards and on community committees.

Absolutely must be able to effectively communicate with volunteers from ages 15 through adult.

Must possess tact and diplomatic skills for counseling and resolving conflicts.

Must have good time management and computer skills to coordinate programs, input paperwork and manage the volunteer flow for up to 100 people per year.
