Full Job Description- Quality Control Inspector

Schedule: Monday-Thursday – 6am to 5:00pm

Essential Functions

· Conduct and document thorough inspections of boat trailers and accessories at various production stages as identified by the Quality Management Program and at the direction of the Quality Manager.

· Inspect parts, materials, and assemblies received from vendors and subcontractors, documenting any non-conformities and making recommendations for improvement.

· Verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulations.

· Execute audit procedures to assess the effectiveness of quality control systems and processes within the manufacturing facility.

· Perform dimensional and visual inspections based on drawings, specifications, and process sheets to verify accuracy and adherence to standards.

· Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.

· Assist in preparing detailed reports to document inspection results, trends, and performance metrics, and communicate findings effectively to management and production teams.

· Communicate quality issues to relevant stakeholders and collaborate on implementing corrective and preventive actions.

· Perform testing and analysis of materials, components, and finished products using various tools and techniques to validate quality and safety standards.

· Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.

Additional Duties

• Work daily overtime, when required, to complete the day’s scheduled assignments.
• Cross-train in other departments to be able to assist where and when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one (1) year manufacturing experience required.

Specialized Knowledge

• Knowledge, recognition and use of tape measurer

Competencies

• Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and job duties.
• Willingness to help where and when needed, beyond the scope of normal day-to-day duties.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret written instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work, walk and stand on concrete floors for the duration of your shift.
• Balance and flexibility, with an ability to safely navigate over and around equipment and tools.
• Ability to work in varied positions (e.g., overhead, flat, and vertical work)
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and squatting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Occupational Conditions

• Manufacturing facility – must comply with all safety regulations and PPE requirements (e.g., gloves, face shields, steel toe shoes, safety glasses)
• Exposure to hot and cold temps for long periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour depending on experience
