JOB SUMMARY:

Plans, develops, and coordinates a comprehensive promotional and advertising program to maximize the casino, hotel and c-store patronage. This position will perform duties within the guidelines of the Coyote Valley Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives, in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Coyote Valley.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

(Specific areas of responsibility include, but not limited to)


  • Provides continues support for the marketing plan and budget for the Casino.
  • Creates, coordinates, and assists in the implementation and execution of all Casino promotions, special events and other functions aimed at increasing revenues.
  • Identifies resources and vendors for media purchases and advertising of all promotions, promotional materials and special events in conjunction with approved advertising agency.
  • Coordinates the communication of all marketing campaigns.
  • Creates and develops press releases in conjunction with approved advertising agency.
  • Responsible for the development and oversight of all internal and external communication concerning promotions and special events.
  • Oversees and manages the Casino website and all social media sites.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of marketing initiatives.
  • Researches potential, new, rising social media platforms, partnerships, and promotional opportunities.
  • Evaluates and adjusts quickly to future trends in the Marketing industry in conjunction with trends in the Casino industry.
  • Ensures consistency and quality of all Casino print, direct mail, URL’s, media and advertising material.
  • Responsible for implementing entertainment programs at the Casino to include booking and overseeing rider management, hospitality, technical production, sound support, back line maintenance and promotion.
  • Executes all drawings, gift giveaways, promotions, events, and entertainment for the casino.
  • Assists Human Resources with production of internal communications, newsletters, employee recognition and any Team Member projects to ensure image consistency.
  • Prepares graphics requests for brochures, newsletters, and mailouts, to supplement all promotions, events, and activities.
  • Manages social media strategies including campaign and content creation, project planning, implementation, and execution.
  • Practices positive Team Member relations and follows the guidelines of the Casino Employee Handbook.
  • Must possess the ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in subordinate employees.
  • Exemplifies a strong work ethic and is visible, available and present for the guests as well as their team.
  • Manages the inventory of promotional items.
  • Assists with the set up and break down of promotional areas.
  • Participate in Tribal events including non-profit events as needed.
  • Be a positive role model at all times.
  • Maintains professional behavior with positive representation of Coyote Valley while on and off the clock.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality during and after employment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience in related field (i.e., marketing, communications); or
  • An Associate’s Degree in related field, and least 5 years of experience in a related field (i.e., marketing, communications); or
  • 7 years of experience in a related field (i.e., marketing, communications) with management experience and a High School Diploma

Language Skills:

  • Must possess good public speaking skills for press relations, presentations, and other needs.
  • Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an Employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management and employees in all situations.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Other:

  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
