Salary $70,000-$80,000 per year commensurate with experience
Employment This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during business hours. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Summary/Objective This position is responsible for management and supervision of OPWDD Waiver Programs. Ensures delivery of services meets regulatory requirements and is in alignment with the agency’s mission, vision and guiding principles.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
- Three years or more of successful work experience in this or a related field.
- Prior direct experience in the provision of health or human services to persons with disabilities
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in planning, implementing and evaluating work with individuals, customers, and employees, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated tolerance for stressful interactions and situations.
- Demonstrated ability to use of Microsoft Office software and other computer programs which are pertinent.
- Demonstrated excellent time management skills and organization skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and commitment to the mission and vision of the organization.
- Valid NYS Driver License
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Experience working in OPWDD service area and knowledge of the HCBS waiver programs.

- Provides oversight, supervision, and problem-solving support to the waiver services management team.

- Ensures quality services are provided; services meet the needs of the individuals; individuals are happy with services received; and that services are individually focused.
- Provides oversight to ensure program compliance with all regulations (and regulation changes); ensures all services documentation is complete and compliant per regulatory requirements.
- Monitors program and allocation of operating budgets for the programs.
- Ensures staff are trained, supervised, and performing to satisfaction and requirements.
- Communicates effectively with staff, service providers, individuals, caregivers/family members, and community members to ensure services are individually focused, promote independence, productivity, and choice.
- Creates and maintains relationships with community groups and vendors to provide opportunities for socialization and recreation for individuals.
- Ensures that the incident management policy and procedure is consistently followed throughout the waiver programs.
- Negotiates and resolves conflicts as needed; provides support to team and handles employee relation matters.
- Participates in conferences, workshops and in-service training as needed or recommended to enhance job skills and personal growth and development.
- Adheres to agency’s policies and procedures as well as department guidelines.
- All other duties as assigned.
Key Relationships
- Develops relationships with community members, families, individuals, other provider agencies
- Works collaboratively with internal staff, managers, department directors and senior leadership.
- Participates on agency work teams and committees as requested.

Supervisory Responsibility This position provides direct supervision to the Residential Managers at CP Rochester and Happiness House. In addition, provides direct supervision to the Community Services Supervisor, the Senior Day Habilitation Supervisor and the Sportsnet Supervisor.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position.
Travel Is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
