Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. About the Integrity Management Engineer Position
As an Integrity Management Engineer, your primary role is to establish processes and data evaluation to manage specific programs pertaining to the pipeline system. It is important to have knowledge in the practical application of data gathering, retention, analysis methodologies, relational databases, and engineering analysis. As the Integrity Management Engineer, you must learn and demonstrate knowledgeable of integrity management program, engineering standards, material specifications, pipeline equipment, fundamental system operations, regulatory requirements, procedures, and safe work practices.
What You Get to Do:
- Coordinate form updates to the Anomaly Inspection electronic form with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all Anomaly Inspection reports are completed by field Inspector and Project Manager.
- Provide dig data feedback to In-line Inspection (ILI) vendors.
- Gather data and write continuing service Threat Assessment on in-service liquid pipelines.
- Identify opportunities and support the development/modification of applications, systems, and tools for analyzing and interpreting data – trending, statistical analysis, or other mathematical and engineering approaches for identifying improvements in Colonial’s integrity management programs and practices.
- Create, design, test, and implement new electronic form templates.
- Gather data and write Integrity Annual Report on Integrity Management Program Performance Metrics and Measures. Analyze KPIs, trend analysis, and industry statistics.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
- Ideally, 3 years of experience in Pipeline Integrity related field.
- Understanding of engineering data management systems and relational databases, and general knowledge of data analysis methodologies and processes.
- Working knowledge with codes and standards related to pipeline integrity management, including 49 CFR 195.452, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8S, API 1160, and API 1133.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record to drive to perform job responsibilities.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, which includes airplane and/or vehicle.
- Knowledge of Oracle or other database systems and applications to gather data.
