CPC is looking for a full-time Co-Occurring Specialist to work as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team that provides assessment and direct service to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness who are enrolled in our PACT Team in Red Bank, NJ. PACT (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) is an evidenced based treatment modality providing therapeutic interventions to adults with significant mental health barriers in a community setting.
Responsibilities
The Co-Occurring Specialist's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Must have Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field and two years of post degree experience in mental health working with individuals with co-occurring disorders or substance abuse. Must have a CADC or LCADC. Valid NJ driver's license with clean record required, as position is community-based and requires driving.

The Co-Occurring Specialist's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Completes assessments and/or assists other staff in completing assessments in a timely and comprehensive manner as required by CPC and regulatory agency policies. Assessments are age appropriate and culturally sensitive and address the needs as outlined in the agency assessment tools.
- Provides mental health education, community living skill training and supportive counseling in the home and other natural environments to consumers and their families.
- Crisis intervention services with acute psychiatric needs to consumers who require rapid intervention.
