Purpose / Introduction
This position is responsible for managing all Mechanical and Instrument Maintenance activities for three Polyethylene Units and Materials Handling within Cedar Bayou. The Superintendent will report to the Maintenance Manager and supervises a combination of Maintenance Craft and Area Supervisors. This position is also responsible for the coordinated activity of Area Supervisors, Maintenance Specialist and Supervisors for Hourly and a large, nested contractor work force to support plant needs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that established safety goals are attained - keep safety focus and initiatives high in priority
- Seek opportunities to encourage / enforce Operational Discipline, human performance principles and maximize moments of high influence
- Set a high standard for housekeeping in Maintenance and responsible areas
- Communicate Maintenance priorities and efforts to peers, site Leadership Team and Manufacturing Leaders
- Ensure compliance with Operations and Maintenance Work Process (OMWP), with maintenance activities focused on planned work and quality repairs executed in an integrated schedule that improves plant reliability
- Develop objectives and metrics, including personal development goals, with direct reports that support department priorities and OMWP improvements
