The ESG Specialist will provide critical support to the Director of ESG, contributing to the execution of ESG strategy, reporting processes, and sustainability initiatives.
This role involves collaborating across departments to collect and analyze ESG data, managing software systems such as Novisto and Persefoni, and driving the execution of impactful ESG programs. Qualifications
Experience: 2-4 years in sustainability, ESG reporting, or related fields. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data, business administration, environmental science, sustainability, or a related discipline. Basic knowledge of ESG topics and frameworks (e.g., SASB, GRI, TCFD) and experience working with ESG data collection and reporting. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in project management, including developing and implementing timelines and collaborating across departments. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data visualization tools or ESG reporting software is a plus. Anticipated Travel

Responsibilities
ESG Metrics and Reporting:
- Gather, maintain, and track ESG metrics, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage and serve as system administrator for ESG management software (Novisto) and GHG inventory tool (Persefoni).
- Support the creation and publication of the company’s ESG report and other public disclosures by collecting and verifying data from internal teams.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of ESG data while applying relevant reporting standards and frameworks (e.g., SASB, GRI, TCFD).
- Analyze ESG data trends to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for enhanced performance.
- Partner with internal teams (e.g., HR, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain) to develop and implement ESG-related programs.
- Track progress on ESG initiatives and provide regular updates to the Director of ESG.
- Serve as project manager for ESG-owned initiatives, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Assist in coordinating and executing employee training programs and engagement campaigns to promote ESG principles.
- Monitor and analyze external trends, regulations, customer expectations, and competitor activities to inform ESG priorities.
- Stay up to date on ESG reporting frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or corporate setting.
- Familiarity with third-party ESG ratings and disclosures.
- Experience managing ESG software systems or similar platforms.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
- Specialized focus in areas such as emissions management, operational sustainability improvements, reporting and disclosures, waste management, or other relevant ESG categories.
