YOUR DAY TO DAY:

Performs a variety of technical assignments such as constructing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment following established procedures and working under general supervision.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

• Performs a variety of electronic, mechanical and technical assignments such as constructing, repairing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting and testing.
• Works from schematics, engineering drawings, written and verbal instructions.
• Operates related electronic and mechanical equipment necessary to tune, test and troubleshoot specific equipment.
• Uses pre-determined methods, sequences and set-ups to visually inspect or test specific equipment making necessary modifications and adjustments as necessary.
• Recommends changes or modifications to improve general operation or the quality of equipment making necessary modifications and adjustments as needed.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks on electronic and mechanical equipment.
• Makes adjustments and modifications to specific equipment repairs or replaces malfunctioning units as required.
• Conducts a variety of engineering tests and reports data in prescribed format.
• Designs and improves a variety of electronic and mechanical tools, fixtures and equipment as required.
• Provides technical assistance and leadership as necessary.
• Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience with soldering required
• Education in basic electronics preferred
• Knowledge of fundamentals in assigned area and ability to use common equipment and instruments preferred
• Proficient computer skill including Microsoft Office
• Highly motivated
• Excellent work ethic
• Team-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Good manual dexterity
• Radar/Sonar experience preferred
• US Citizenship and, if required, are able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.
