YOUR DAY TO DAY :
The Grinder Material Handler performs precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding on a variety of welded assemblies and is responsible for the movement of necessary inventory and parts to and from the weld department.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR :
- Grind, polish, sand and sharpen welded parts to ensure conformance to established customer needs.
- Operate small electric / air hand tools.
- Handle assorted raw materials, steel parts, steel scrap, aluminum, and galvanized parts.
- Assist with weld kitting of parts
- Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition.
- Perform work in a manner that all products conform to prescribed quality standards.
- Use and understand online ERP system for data collection, work instructions, routers, and prints.
- Participate in and support continuous process improvements.
- Other duties may be assigned that pertain to the classification.
