YOUR DAY TO DAY :
Ensures the orderly and timely flow of component parts, assemblies, and subassemblies in sufficient time to meet the requirements of the production schedule. Responsible for issuance of materials to production operations. Entails critical handling of large / heavy work pieces to allow operators and others to perform operations such as shearing, punching, drilling, bending, and deburring. Performs area cleanup and safety related duties. Ensure an effective inventory control over all incoming and stocked material, equipment, and supplies. Proficient in performing all essential functions independently if needed.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR :
- May prepare purchase orders to determine stock status against production requirements
- Communicate clearly with coworkers, planners, material managers, and internal customers
- Identify material shortages and supports problem solving resolutions
- Document and distributes scrap / salvage parts
- Help set and work toward team goals
- Coordinate and prioritize individual daily activities
- Support continuous improvement activities
- Actively participates in meetings
- May handle and process classified material
- Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift
- May kit daily or weekly assembly picks as required by job function
- Performs other duties as needed
