A successful Warehouse Manager candidate will hold a variety of skills and qualifications to complete the necessary duties, including:
- Excellent leadership, time management, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven excellence as a Warehouse Assistant, Warehouse administrator, or in another relevant position
- Outstanding abilities to communicate in person, in writing, and over the phone
- Familiarity with common procedures and basic account principles used in the office
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office management tools, software programs, and applications
- High school diploma at minimum
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any relevant field is preferred, with a degree or qualifications in Warehouse studies (a plus), business, management, human resources, or another related field
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Warehouse operations to improve operational efficiency and create smooth workflow of materials and communications between field and office staff.
- Ensure company material costs are kept within budgetary limits and negotiate as needed with vendor sales reps to ensure good vendor relations are maintained and the company receives the best pricing programs possible.
- Oversee vendor-managed inventory to ensure on-time stocking and replenishment.
- Procure all Warehouse supplies as required.
- Assist Trade Managers as needed while working in a team environment.
- Conduct monthly inventory and present to GM for audit control.
- Conduct fleet inventory audit of two trucks per month for all field trucks.
- Act as liaison with market area personnel in regard to Fleet, Safety, and Inventory.
- Manage fleet procurement, repairs, and maintenance using outside vendors and ensure reporting on fleet vehicles to the market is accurate.
- Ensure fleet vehicles have adequate keys, inventory, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with company policy and state requirements.
- Ensure the paved parking area is kept clean of debris and all recycled materials are routinely taken to the recycle center.
- Conduct and/or oversee routine truck safety inspections.
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Physical Demands:
- Stand/Sit: Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the time
- May be required to bend, climb (Stairs/Ladders), do repetitive motion, kneel, reach, squat, stand, crawl, walk, and run
- May be required to drive and sit for long periods of time
- May be required to maneuver up to 50 lb. by lifting, carrying or pushing
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) frequently
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
