CPM | Tenant Improvement Solutions is a full-service Commercial General Contractor located in Snohomish County. We are a fast-paced, hard-working group of people who enjoy serving others and making a difference. We are seeking a Building Engineer to join our Facility Maintenance team.
The Building Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of commercial buildings. This position requires a thorough understanding of safety practices, building systems, and general maintenance procedures. The Building Engineer must have strong problem-solving and communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of the facilities team. These efforts must be coordinated with the Director of Facilities Maintenance to ensure that the company goals and objectives are met through team participation.
Building Engineer Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on all building systems and equipment, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, elevators, and security systems.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assess the building for potential safety hazards.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
- all Monitor building equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Prepare reports and documents related to building maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure that the building meets safety, health standards & regulations.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for maintenance and repair services.
- Assist in managing building maintenance budget.
What to Expect
- Within 3 months you will have a firm understanding of your job description and expectations as well as CPM core company values, culture, and structure, you will have a solid foundation of who and where to go to for information. You will have completed the baseline Procore/MHelpdesk training with your direct report.
- Within 6 months you will be self-sufficient in your role, empowered to perform your duties while demonstrating your personal core values in line with those of CPM. You will have a solid foundation of weekly interval schedules.
- Within 9 months you will know all your team members, you will be woven into the CPM culture. You will have a firm grasp of navigating Procore/MHelpdesk as well as intricate knowledge and expectations as a part of the Facility Maintenance team.
- Within 12 months you will be at or above the pace of your peers (that is within you to decide), you will be leading and driving daily work requests at full capacity, exceeding expectations. At this time, you will have your annual review.
