The ideal candidate should have experience working with various metals and welding techniques, with a specific focus on flux welding. This person should also be familiar with sanitation welding.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate welding of components.
- Inspect welds for quality and structural integrity, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production staff to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards related to food processing equipment.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
- Set up welding equipment and select the appropriate welding method based on the project requirements.
- Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding to ensure proper penetration and strength.
- Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards and make any necessary repairs.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Always adhere to safety standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve project goals within deadlines.
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder or similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Certification in welding or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Welder with a focus on food processing equipment or similar food-grade applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Certification in welding and familiarity with food industry standards is a plus.
- Must have a good understanding of welding symbols and codes.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding certification
- Journeyman’s license
