Conemaugh Physician Group is seeking a full-time RN for Conemaugh Counseling in Johnstown, PA. The RN is responsible for providing direct day to day care of adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients. Must possess competent clinical and interactive skills for these specific age categories. Practices to the fullest extent of their license in accordance with organizational policies. Under the directions of the Practice manager and in collaboration with psychiatrists and other members of the health care team, provides comprehensive patient care to psychiatric patients.

Essential Responsibilities:
Participates in patient care teams' delivery of personalized, efficient care with respect for patient’s spiritual and cultural differences.
Provides patient assessment and participates in discharge planning while maintain a therapeutic partnership with patient, family, and caregivers.
Demonstrates knowledge with injections.
Initiates patient and family teaching plan focused on a patient’s lifetime.
Administers medication via intramuscular injection.
Implements physician orders and records physician verbal orders.
Makes decisions and judgments in preventing analyzing and resolving patient care or other problems.
Reports patient status, refers problems when necessary and anticipates situations that prevent/minimize adverse outcomes or less than optimal outcomes.
Follows the established plan of care and collaborates with members of the patient care team as needed.
Assists physicians and mid-level provider in completing prescription renewals electronically.
Documents in the electronic medical record patient vitals, updates med lists, assists in completing electronic flow sheets and documents electronically all treatments, injections, etc.
Scan lab results and other related medical data to electronic medical record as needed.
Education:
Experience:
Preferred: Psychiatric nursing experience.
