Job Title: Product Engineer (Dimensional) - Aerospace

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the New Product Development engineering team or Production Engineering team, working closely with manufacturing to develop robust processes and tooling supporting the company's growth in industrial and aerospace investment casting markets.
- Collaborate with 3D modeling software to stay up-to-date with the latest tooling concepts.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Identifying and defining problems, performing root cause analysis, and implementing solutions using a standardized approach (PDCA, Six-Sigma).
- Applying knowledge and statistics to improve yield, rework, and product quality.
- Providing problem-solving and technical support through travel to other CPP facilities, customers, and vendors.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Constructing dies (shrink factor analysis), gages, and support tooling needed for core production, wax pattern inspection, and casting.
- Interfacing with tooling vendors and CPP purchasing to produce high-quality tools at competitive prices.
- Maintaining dimensional quality control of castings.
- Using data analysis techniques (statistical, mathematical, DOE, 6 Sigma) to identify and address process yields.
- Interpreting customer drawings, specifications, blueprints, models (CAD/NX), and layout reports.
- Communicating with tooling vendors to design concepts for wax pattern dies, gate dies, and support fixtures.
- Documenting work procedures and processes.
- Ensuring adherence to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 3-5 years of applicable experience (investment casting, tooling design, and CAD [preferably NX] experience).
- Familiarity with structured light tools and programming.
- Data-driven problem-solving techniques and motivation.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent and consistent basis without company sponsorship now and in the future.
