Director of Procurement & Trading – Reporting to the CFO and managing a team of 4, this position will be responsible for driving the company’s strategy while overseeing trades, managing risk, and optimize purchasing.
- Lead, coach and mentor the team, maintaining safety and continuous improvement
- Have oversight of the procurement of grains, corn and beans and sales of byproducts such as ethanol
- Create and implement strategies working cross functionally
- Establish Key Performance Indicators and reports to minimize risk
- Manage relationships with customers and supplier farmers
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
- 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing of commodities and knowledge of trading these commodities
- Extensive knowledge of the commodity markets – corn, soybeans, biofuels
- Proven leadership – team building, mentoring,
- Strong negotiation skills and analytical skills
- Knowledge of industry trends
Pluses:
- Knowledge of 45Z and carbon footprint
- Experience in the ethanol space or desire to learn
My client, an industry leader, is offering a generous compensation package (Base salary $180-200k) including bonuses and full relocation. This will be a hybrid schedule.
Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
