Per Diem Pharmacy Intern / Pharmacy Technician

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions LLC Pharmacy Intern or Pharmacy Technician at Valley Hospital, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage 1 or 2 weekends per month and very occasionally weekdays to help cover staff PTO.
Starting Pay Range: $20-$22/hour based on related experience.
About the Facility: Valley Hospital is a private 122-bed psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health care and chemical dependency counseling services, that offers mental health disorder treatment for schizophrenia treatment, compulsive disorder treatment and other mental health counseling services in a safe and comforting environment. In addition, they offer treatment for co-occurring disorders and drug and alcohol rehabilitation in our chemical dependency rehab program in Phoenix, Arizona. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 7am-7pm and weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) from 7am- 3:30pm. The pharmacy utilizes HCS e-pharmacy and CPOE.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Current Arizona Pharmacy Intern or Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- PTCB national certification in good standing and/or currently attending a pharmacy school
- Two years recent experience desired but not required
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
Hospital Requirements (may be required):
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine-Full
