Production Superintendent

CQ Insulation, Inc. is a leading contractor for building insulation, fireproofing, and division 10 specialties. We have a great opportunity as an Assistant Superintendent based from our Tampa, FL location. The Company focuses on large-scale new construction projects throughout the country; multi-family, residential, senior living, commercial, and government work.

This position will work in the office and field under the direction of the Production Manager, who leads the efforts of the team. You will be charged with making sure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner with highest quality within various deadlines and time-constraints.

Some of the work, such as record-keeping, report-writing, analyses, planning, and communication efforts will be performed in an office, so computer skills are required in this position, though outside work supervising, motivating, and coaching various crews in Florida heat should be expected daily. Strong problem solving, customer service skills, and consistent communication are important to work directly with customers and possibly play a role in securing future contracts.

This person may be responsible for:
• Review, approve, and submit daily payroll reports to Support team,
• Organize and execute material procurement directives,
• Process and deliver new hire applications,
• Direct Onramp/Training Videos for new teammates,
• Supervise and inspect work progress from crews in accordance with jobsite safety, schedules, and requirements,
• Train and enforce safety and regulatory compliance,
• Execute quality control and attend worksite inspections,
• Read specifications and blueprints to direct crews safely and efficiently,
• Work with job-site field personnel.

Job Requirements:
• Strong communication (verbal & email) skills,
• Strong organizational skills,
• Problem resolution and the ability to quickly find solutions,
• Experience in multi-family and/or commercial construction preferred,
• Ability to direct a workforce of 50 to produce quality workmanship,
• Knowledge of blueprints,
• Ability to work outdoors,
• Travel as needed; possible trips ~ Gulf coast FL,
• Full time position, hours vary,
• Insulation, Drywall or similar experience would be helpful,
• Clean driving record,
• Light duty labor, standing required.
