This role includes digging foundations, placing finished monuments, and ensuring each installation meets high-quality standards.
This is a hands-on, physical position that involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires a strong commitment to completing tasks with precision and care.

What Youll Do : Drive to cemetery gravesites to install monuments, follow maps, diagrams, and written specificationsDig trench for foundation using mini-excavator and / or hand toolsMix and pour concrete / mortarApply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface Remove the monument from the truck bed and guide it onto the foundation using skids, hoist, or truck craneSet monument in place, according to layout or patternHand-polish and / or machine-polish memorials Clean and repair memorials as requiredAssist with cleaning and maintenance of company vehicles Maintain regular attendance and punctuality according to assigned scheduleOther duties as needed or required What Were Looking For : High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and minimum of one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to operate work-related machinery including excavator, truck-mounted crane, and hand tools Able to work in various weather conditions Ability to lift to 70 lbs.Must possess current CDL and be insurableMust be reliable, professional, and be able to follow instructions Des Moines-Winterset Memorials is an Employee-Owned Company, that offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits and is an Equal Opportunity Employer!
