POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations by handling inventory, preparing orders, and maintaining organization. This position supports order fulfillment by assisting with receiving, stocking, picking, and staging shipments. Additionally, the role provides backup coverage for second-shift operations and ensures the accuracy of inventory management through diligent tracking and reporting. By working collaboratively with team members and supervisors, the Warehouse Associate helps maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning warehouse environment while contributing to overall operational efficiency. Shifts are Monday - Thursday 10AM-6PM and Friday 9AM-PM. Some flexibility on these start and end times is possible (any may be necessary at times). On a typical week, you can expect to work approximately 40 hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general warehouse duties, including receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory.
- Assist with order picking and staging shipments for delivery/transfers.
- Work alongside the second shift team from 4-6 PM to help pre-pick orders in advance.
- Serve as backup coverage for second-shift absences or when additional support is required.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring all shipments are accurate.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts.
- Handle Inventory Counts for kegs and cases.
- Work together with team members and supervisors to organize warehouse.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
- Help with picking and labeling shipments and transfers.
- Monitor inventory and replenish cases.
- Report any discrepancy in inventory to Supervisor
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to have smooth operations.
- Learn and efficiently use the Encompass warehouse system for accurate inventory management and order processing.
- Accurately move inventory and product in the system.
- Capable of working both independently and together within a team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Physically fit with ability to repetitively lift 175lbs. Reading and interpreting load sheets and other driver manifests
- Forklift experience is preferred
- Pallet Jack experience is strongly preferred.
- General math skills
- Pick up empty and full kegs
- Lifting and stacking full cases
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Must have excellent communication skills written, verbal and digital.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Confident and willing to question conventional wisdom.
- Enjoy a very fast paced environment and adapt to change.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Job duties are performed primarily inside our Warwick warehouse
- Exposure to outside/winter weather, walk-in cooler temperatures, tight warehouse spaces and moving delivery trucks. Exposure to diesel fumes, vibrations and noise levels of trucks and evaporator fans.
PAY:
- Base pay is $20 per hour.
