We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Spanish Fort, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all accounts payable transactions accurately and timely, supporting the company's financial operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of accounting processes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate: $20-23/hour
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify vendor invoices and payments.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Perform account reconciliations and follow up on payments.
- Prepare financial reports related to accounts payable.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve billing disputes or issues.
- Ensure all payments are made within established deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits related to accounts payable.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial procedures.
- Perform other administrative and accounting tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or similar role is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting software and basic accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
