Educator and Bartender - Brewery / Winery Taproom

Crafted Mead is looking for a bartender to join our team! We've been recognized as the "coolest tasting room in Northeast Ohio" by the Cleveland Plain Dealer and we think we're a pretty great place to work at too! We do things differently at Crafted! Crafted is open Wednesday through Sunday so this position is for various evenings during the week including rotating daytime shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Rotating weekend availability is required (either Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday...not ALL of those days but a one or two of them each week is great). Tired of late nights?! Crafted closes at 10PM through the week and at 11PM on weekends so you can kiss goodbye to those late night bar shifts. All bartenders are part of a tip pool so everyone gets a cut when we kick butt, which is all the time! This isn't your "normal" bartending gig so if you're the shot pouring, late night type then this job probably isn't for you. Duties

-Educate guests on mead and the mead making process

-Greet guests and assist them with navigating our service style

-Assist guests with retail bottle & merchandise sales

-Assist guests in the taproom

-Accurately take food and drink orders at the bar

-Accurately pour mead, beer, and wine

-Accurately make cocktails

-Keep taproom and bar clean and tidy

Requirements

-Prior brewery, winery, or meadery experience preferred, but not required! We are willing to train the right candidate!

-Basic math/measurement skills needed for cocktail preparation

-Ability to follow standardized cocktail recipes for consistent quality and service

-Ability to be punctual and work in a fast paced environment

-Reliable transportation to and from work

-Ability to stay organized and multitask

-Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with guests, teammates, and management in an effective manner

-Upbeat attitude

Since opening in 2012, Crafted Artisan Meadery has grown into one of the most recognized meaderies in the country. We produce internationally award-winning mead that is sold in bars, restaurants and by retailers around the country. With the opening of our new production facility and taproom we have a ton more room to spread our wings! We have so much room for activities...including more production, a growing distributor network and a kick-butt taproom where we offer a fun and relaxing environment for guests to gather and enjoy our mead alongside some absolutely stellar pizza. Crafted is where the action is at!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
