Craftsmen Contractors is hiring Welding Techs / Structural Welders for a manufacturing facility in Minden, La. These are temp to permanent positions and you will need to do a face to face interview. You will also need to pass a criminal background check and pass a pre-employment drug screen. The work schedule shifts : (6am - 4 : 30pm, 6 : 30am - 5pm or 7am - 5 : 30pm) and also work every other Saturday.
Pay is $22 - $30.80 / hr. depending on experience and how you do on the weld test. No per diem is offered.
Job Duties :
- Weld steel structures, telecommunications shelters, skids, and any other product line, and for plant operations.
- Read blueprints for specifications.
- Weld all necessary components including floors, walls, and roofs for current operations as specified in blueprints.
- Weld all mechanical components as required.
- Perform all welding and fabrication tasks in plant as specified by supervisor.
- Use grinder to smooth welding.
