Precast Techs/Concrete Installation Workers

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring Precast Techs for concrete work for a manufacturing facility in Minden, La. These are temp to permanent positions and you will need to do a face to face interview. You will also need to pass a criminal background check and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Pay is $14 - $20/hr. depending on experience. No per diem is offered.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for casting and finishing of panels, roofs, and floors with the use of hand tools.
• Install various components into a rectangular form.
• Pick up and take to set-up area all objects to be used: i.e. rails, bulkheads, buffer, wire mats, rebar, door frames, etc.
• Work with concrete and assemble concrete buildings using precast concrete pieces.
• Lubricate casting machines with oil.
• Position casting machines over pallet.
• Finish with had trowel around the doors and edges.
• Install control joint and weld plates.
• With the assistance of other employees, square form by positioning and adjusting rails and bulkheads according to blueprints.
• Install PVCs, foam, and rebar and glue down applicable components.
• Install block caps were needed on rails and covers any holes, openings, or seams on form with tape.
• Install precut rebar mat.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to ascend, descend and work overhead from a ladder and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to stoop, crouch, and kneel to apply paneling and to work overhead.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools and to lift up to 50 lbs. when moving materials on the job.
• Demonstrate basic math skills, mechanical aptitude read a tape measure.
• Read blueprints, communicate effectively, have good judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships and interact effectively with all levels of employees.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Will need to pass a criminal background check and drug screen and must do a face to face interview before being hired.

Summary

As a Precast Concrete Worker, you will be integral to the construction process, responsible for shaping and finishing concrete products. Your mechanical knowledge and basic math skills will aid in accurate measurements and installations.
