Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding service by answering customer questions, offering product recommendations, and assisting with any needs to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the pro shop is clean, organized, and inviting for customers, contributing to a welcoming environment.
- Shift Leader: Oversee the team during your shift, ensuring that staff are on task, positioned appropriately, and working efficiently. Lead by example with clear communication and provide assistance as needed.
- Phone Handling: Answer phone calls promptly when not assisting in-person customers. Book tee times, assist with reservations, and provide helpful information.
- Cashiering: Process sales transactions, handle cash, credit cards, and receipts accurately. Ensure the register balances correctly and manage the cash drawer.
- Tee Time Reservations: Manage and assist with booking tee times, ensuring smooth scheduling and customer satisfaction.
- Sales: Assist customers with purchasing equipment, apparel, accessories, and other merchandise. Promote special offers and sales to boost store revenue.
- Handle Returns and Exchanges: Process returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assisting with Events: Help with event setup, tournaments, and clinics, ensuring customers have all the necessary equipment and information for a successful experience.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lead a team and manage shift operations effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Comfortable handling physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Previous experience in golf, retail, or customer service is preferred.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of organization.
- Comfortable handling transactions and managing cash registers.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
This is a seasonal position with approximate dates of April 1st - November (depending on weather and other circumstances).
