The Craig County School Board in Virginia is seeking to secure a highly qualified applicant for Supervisor of Technology that is available for the 2022 - 2023 school year.
Overview:
This position will provide leadership with training and support for various types of federal, state, and local assessments.
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude other duties if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this position.
- Oversees and maintains PowerSchool and all student data.
- Completes state and federal reporting.
- Oversees all state and federal testing.
- Develops and maintains support and training materials related to testing for the school district.
- Based on State testing schedule and local assessment needs, creates annual testing schedule, delivers the schedule to the schools and updates as needed.
- Secures all testing materials and documents through guiding all testing coordinators, specialists, and testing material support personnel to follow State and local testing ethics and rules.
- Communicates with the VA Department of Education on matters related to testing and graduation requirements.
- Attends regular training sessions related to federal, state, and local assessments.
- Provides assistance with topics related to school accreditation.
- Assists in the communication and training related to assessment results.
- Oversees all technology including, but not limited to, phones, copiers, computers and other hardware, network, division website, and software program management and implementation.
- Maintains technology budget.
- Oversees all instructional technolgy
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred knowledge skills and abilities include, but are not limited to:
- Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining individually assigned deadlines.
- Ability to use office technology and software, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators and staff.
- Knowledge of Virginia’s Standards of Learning Assessment Program.
- Knowledge of Virginia’s accreditation and graduation requirements.
- Prior experience with PearsonAccessNext.
- Knowledge of various instructional software programs.
- Knowledge of computer networking
- Experience with Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
- Experience with student 1:1 devices
- Experience with Microsoft Office and GSuite.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in education, testing and evaluation, or a related field. Three to five years of experience working as an educator is preferred. Experience providing training for educators. Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
Salary: 2021 - 2022 School Year 12-Month Professional salary scale with benefits
FLSA: Exempt
