What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator/Project Manager position at Craig Tuttle Construction?
Residential General Contractor/Builder is looking to add to our current in-office Estimating/Project Management team. We have been in operation in Omaha for 28 years as a full-service provider of high-end building and renovation. REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to learn, understand and use existing project estimation and management processes
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction drawings and documents
- Fluent in computer software: Microsoft Office, Work, Excel, Dropbox, and Bluebeam
- Strong organizational, time management and mathematics skills
- Takes pride in being a stable and reliable team player
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Clear and concise communication with fellow members of the Office team is essential
- Willing to take initiative, but understands the importance of obtaining necessary input from other team members
- Able to communicate in a professional manner with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers in a quick and concise manner
- Able to thoroughly process and direct all emails as received in office inbox daily
DAT -TO-DAY TASKS:
ESTIMATING
- Providing the appropriate documents and bid requests to subs and suppliers
- Following through to ensure bids are received in a timely fashion
- Quantifying various materials as needed
- Reviewing subcontractor bids and generating client proposals
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Effectively interface/support field Project Superintendents on multiple projects at a time
- Monitor job costs on a project-by-project basis
- Keep track of changes, change orders and submit to client for approval
- Assist the accounting department as needed in reviewing vendor and subcontractor invoices
- Assist Maintenance Superintendent as needed to coordinate and manage minor repairs for clients as requested
- Assisting to ensure that project schedule is being executed
Compensation and Benefits -
- This is an hourly position - with paid overtime after 40 hours. Ideally candidate should be willing to work 45 to 50 hours a week and can make from $70,000 to $90,000 yearly. - Commensurate with Experience and Abilities

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
