We’re seeking a seasoned media investment professional to serve as the Video/Audio Investment Director. This person will lead local and national investments across broadcast and cable TV, Connected TV (CTV), terrestrial and streaming radio, and podcasts. Ideal candidates are strategic thinkers and strong negotiators who can manage both big-picture strategy and executional detail across linear and digital platforms.
About the role:
- Lead planning and buying for local broadcast, cable, and radio across multiple DMAs including the development of customized local sponsorships.
- Plan and Manage national TV and CTV buys with a focus on building custom, high-impact sponsorships that include unique activations and added-value opportunities.
- Negotiate, order, and maintain media buys local and national buys ensuring delivery through close stewardship and timely reconciliation.
- Partner with key data and measurement providers (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore) to drive data-informed decisions and post-campaign insights.
- Represent C-K’s video and audio capabilities in new business pitches and in industry events and news sources.
- Collaborate with strategy, planning, and analytics teams to develop and present persuasive, insight-driven media recommendations for current clients and new business opportunities.
- Educate the broader media team on industry trends, vendor capabilities, and evolving research tools to guide innovative and effective media solutions.
- Mentor and oversee junior media buyers to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and executional excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with major media vendors and networks, including key sports media partners.
- Ensure media buys meet brand standards, campaign KPIs, and budget parameters, while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and adherence to timelines.
About you:
- 7 years of experience in media buying, with significant time spent in local TV, cable, and radio as well as CTV and streaming audio/podcasts
- Strong background in national TV, CTV, network radio and streaming audio including negotiation and execution of custom sponsorships and value-added integrations
- Familiarity with sports media and experience executing media around tentpole events is a strong plus
- Strong communication/presentation skills and an ability to confidently present agency POVs and plans to current clients and new business prospects.
- Proficiency with Nielsen ratings, measurement tools, and buying platforms
- Exceptional negotiation skills and vendor relationship management
- Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members
- Highly detail-oriented and deadline-driven with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative agency or brand environment
- Proficient in Nielsen, Mediaocean/Prisma, Comscore, and other measurement tools; familiarity with DSPs and CTV platforms is a plus

Additional Information
- We currently work in the office three days a week to facilitate in-person collaboration and the value these relationships bring to managing, mentoring, teamwork and culture. We are also committed to providing an environment that allows for work/life balance, so C-Kers work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
- Compensation range at the time of posting: $115,000 to $135,000 annually. Individual compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications and experience of the applicant, and C-K reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time based on requirements of the position and level of responsibility.
