What You'll Be Doing:
As our Dining Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dining room and ensuring the efficient and high-quality service provided by our serving team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and directing Dining Services Servers: Providing guidance, training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure exceptional service standards.
- Scheduling and assigning staff: Ensuring adequate coverage for all meal periods and special events.
- Monitoring and maintaining dining room presentation: Ensuring cleanliness, proper table settings, and an inviting atmosphere.
- Addressing resident feedback and concerns promptly and professionally: Working to resolve any issues and ensure resident satisfaction.
- Collaborating with the Culinary Team: Maintaining effective communication regarding menu changes, special dietary needs, and service requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations: Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for staff and residents.
- Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies: Ensuring adequate stock levels for smooth service.
- Participating in resident care conferences and meetings as needed.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of dining service policies and procedures.
- Stepping in to assist with serving duties as needed to ensure efficient service.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a food service environment (senior living or hospitality preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A customer-focused mindset with a genuine commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Knowledge of food service operations, including table service, sanitation, and safety regulations.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (e.g., scheduling software, email).
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
