Crandall & Katt, Attorneys at Law, a prestigious injury law firm in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking a Litigation Paralegal. This full-time position offers hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend work required.
We are looking for a highly responsible individual, capable of prioritizing conflicting demands, meeting multiple deadlines, and juggling a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years of experience in paralegal work and will support our attorneys through all phases of litigation, from case initiation to trial. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high caseload with care and compassion.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are up to date.
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
- Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents for discovery.
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses.
- Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and other materials for court presentations.
- File documents with courts and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Track and manage case calendars, deadlines, and court dates.
- Regularly communicate progress of cases to both client and attorney.
Skills
- Proficient with computer software, keyboarding, and online work.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with excellence in interacting with the public both on the phone and in person.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and rules of civil litigation.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, adaptable, and compassionate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software - (Filevine is a plus).
Experience
- Required: 1 years of experience in paralegal work.
- Preferred: 1 years of experience as a Paralegal for a personal injury firm.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma
- Preferred: Paralegal degree or certificate
Language
- Required: English
- Preferred: Bilingual (English Spanish is a plus)
