An Inventory Specialist will act as a warehouse specialist organizing inventory, shipments and parts cycle counts.
Inventory Specialist Role & Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and organize all incoming packages using computer software.
- Pick, pack, and ship all outgoing packages using external vendors (such as UPS, FedEx) for all e-commerce, internal branch locations, and external customers received through email and phone orders.
- Monitor, track, and process all information regarding incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Communicate any delays, shortages, etc. to the appropriate internal personnel.
- Prepare, review, complete, and retain documentation for shipping and receiving activities.
- Process vendor invoices within Sage 300.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Other duties as requested
Inventory Specialist Performance Standards
Crane1 Inventory specialist to spend their time and efforts (with some moderation) in the following areas:
- 50 - 60% - Receive parts, Ship parts, Parts Transfers, Inventory Cycle Counts
- 15 - 20% - Order Management (Process invoices, Stock emails)
- 10 - 30% - Knowledge Management (Safety, Training, Team Alignment)
Customer Service Representative (CSR) Requirements
- Strong eye for details and excellent organizational skills
- Computer skills
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Experience with Sage or similar ERP software
- Respond to incoming and outbound calls and emails with a sense of urgency
- Shipping/Receiving experience domestically and internationally with vendors such as UPS Worldwide, FedEx, LTL Couriers
- Warehouse experience
- Amazon or Walmart experience would be great as they are the Industry Gold Standard for inventory management
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Motivation/Drive/Desire to learn and to grow with company
- Frequently lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift over 50 lbs (with assistance)
- Work in a partially climate-controlled environment
